Special Event Class

Afterthought Heel Technique

Teacher: Katy Turbeville

Length: 4 hours

Who has ever read about doing an Afterthought heels and gasp “YIKES”! Well, Katy will show you step by step how to accomplish this technique, so you can be successful.

This class includes instruction, the sock tube that would make a pair of socks, plus a mini skein for heels and toes.

You will need to bring your US-1 or US 1.5 in your preferred method, either DPNs or a 30ish-in cable for magic loop.

Lowder Colours Farm

Kate Lowder of Lowder Colours Farm is a multi-breed hand-spinning flock in northeast Oklahoma. She will have her beautiful display of Locks, Fleeces, Rovings, and Batts from all the breeds on her farm, including the following: Rambouillet, Teeswater, Wensleydale, Bond, Gotland, Karakul, and Crossbreeds.

Kate is a member of the Natural Colored Wool Growers Association, and houses award winning fleeces and sheep.


Deb Dietz Yarns and Stich Markers

Deb Dietz is from Edmond and is excited to display her array of hand dyed yarns and handmade stitch markers.

Her collection of yarns are called “The Stacks” and are based off a library layout. Each color is named after famous authors and she dyes them to resemble leather book covers. The photo I took of her yarns does not do it justice, you have to come in and see how rich they are and feel the luxury of this yarn. She has both sock and aran weight yarns.

Deb has a wonderful collection of stitch markers that would adorn any project you are working on. She just updated her collection to include Claw claps, so you can use them on crochet projects now. She is very cleaver with her designs, so come in and support her efforts.


Double Dutch Yarn

Double Dutch is a bespoke yarn company specializing in designing luxury yarns and fibers with fleeces from small farms and ranches. This small batch company strives to connect your creations to the hometown provenance of those who care for these flocks, shear, sort, spin, and dye these fleeces to deepen our appreciation for these artisan practices and products.

Come check out what this girl from next door has ready for you from locally sourced, farm-fresh fibers. She’s planning a Wild and Wooly Retreat for 2024 and hopes you’ll be able to join!


Wooleyboogers Felt Creations

Wooleyboogers Felt Creations prides itself on creating original one of a kind needle felted creations and hand dyed wool. Each piece from start to finish is created with attention to detail and form. Wooleyboogers also creates beautiful hand dyed rovings and yarns. What makes her so special to us, is that her studio is right next door.

Suzy will have her beautiful display of hand-dyed yarns and spinning and felting fibers. She even has her newest holiday yarns..


Llama Mama Fibers

Dr. Karen Ryan has a little llama farm just outside of Owasso. It is a great attraction for many driving in that area. She has now taken her fiber and had it processed into roving, and then some of the roving made into yarn.

We are excited that she will have her Oklahoma-raised yarns and fibers in our store for this sale. Stop in and meet her, she will update you with what her llamas are up to.
