6/1 – Beginning Crochet Class, 2 sessions
Session Dates: June 1st & June 22nd, Saturdays at 10:30 am
Length: 1.5 hours

Terry loves to help students learn the art of crochet. This class has two sessions. This class includes yarn, hook, accessories, patterns, and professional instruction to complete wrist warmers and hat projects.
In session one, you will learn how to make a chain, how to turn, and single crochet stitch. The homework will be a pair of cute wrist warmers.
Session 2, you will learn to Double Crochet and weave in your ends. The homework will be a warm hat.
6/5 – Fixing Mistakes in Knitting

Have you ever made a mistake in your knitting or pulled your needles out of your work by mistake?? Not to worry! This class will show you how to spot mistakes, fix a dropped stitch, correct a knit stitch to a purl and vice versa, insert a lifeline, rip out multiple rows of knitting, get your stitches back on to your needles and get them properly orientated. You’ll be able to fix your own mistakes with confidence! Being able to spot and fix mistakes in your knitting is incredibly rewarding and grows your confidence to tackle more challenging knitting projects.
Materials Needed for Class: complete Fixing Mistakes Swatch before class (follow chart or written directions for the swatch located below); we suggest you use any wool blend worsted weight yarn (Plymouth Encore is a great option) – don’t use dark colors. Be sure and bring your needles and size US 7 and size G crochet hook. 10% off store purchases for this class.

Bring your Size I or H Tunisian Hook, the rest of the supplies will be provided.

6/8 – Intro to Rigid heddle Weaving – Basic 101
Saturday, June 8th at 10:30 am
Length: 4 hours with 30 minute lunch break, you can bring your lunch or we have a couple of places nearby.
Are you interested in weaving your own cloth? Or just looking for something new to put your yarn stash to use? This class is designed to be a very basic – in person – introduction to weaving on a rigid heddle loom.
Class participants will be introduced to several brands of rigid heddle looms and learn the basic parts of the loom. Then they will learn how to warp a loom, and then begin creating a very simply coffee mug rug. Participants will also get to play with various types of yarn and fibers to create unique textures within their mug rug. Finishing techniques will also be discussed.
Class is a hands on demo / lecture, and students may remain the rest of time to practice, play and finish their project.
Class price includes all supplies for the class and looms will be available for students to use, or you can bring your own loom.

Emily Mizer of Ely Knits will teach you how to use a knitting machine while you make a cute, frilly washcloth. Class includes yarn, pattern, use of a knitting machine, and guidance from an experienced knitter/machine knitter. If you have a knitting machine and don’t know how to use it, be sure to let us know you are bringing it and arrive 30 minutes early so that Emily can ensure you have all the correct parts and that your machine is in good working condition.

Narrow knitting projects, such as entrelac knitting, can get slowed down every time you have to turn your work. So stop doing that and learn to knit from left to right. Amaze your friends and have fun with Looking Glass knitting!
All supplies are included with the class, just bring your favorite Size 8 needles, can be straight or circulars.
Prerequisites: Basic knitting and purling skills
6/12 – Amigurumi Brain Cactus
Session Dates: June 12th and June 26th at 1:00 pm, Wednesdays

Learn amigurumi best practices and make this adorable brain cactus that you don’t have to water! Students will learn how to crochet a magic ring that is the start for almost all amigurumi projects, reading an amigurumi pattern, eye placement, embroidering a mouth, and sewing techniques for seaming all the amigurumi pieces together. After this class, you’ll be ready to create a menagerie of cacti and succulents that you don’t have to keep alive!
All supplies are included, all you need to do is bring your favorite E,F, or G crochet hook depending on your tension and purchase the pattern: Amigurumi Brain Cactus by Lauren Espy

You will create a cute and stylish cross-body handbag in this beginner-friendly wet felting class. We will learn basic layout/design and wet felting techniques. All supplies to complete the project are included in class fees!
6/15 – Tatting Class
Session Date: June 15th, Saturday
Time: 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
Teacher: Members of the Lacemakers Guild of Oklahoma
If you have never tatted, you will learn the art of tatting with the assistance of knowledgeable tatters from the Lacemakers Guild of Oklahoma. If you tat, you will learn new techniques and continue your journey with future tatting projects.
Beginners will be supplied to tat this cute butterfly.
6/15 – Bobbin Lace Class
Session Date: June 15th, Saturday
Time: 1:00 am to 3:30 pm
Teacher: Members of the Lacemakers Guild of Oklahoma
Beginners will learn the art of bobbin lace with the assistance of knowledgeable tatters from the Lacemakers Guild of Oklahoma. If you already know a few techniques, sign up and continue learning.
