Spin 918

We are meeting on the first Saturday of each month! Come and spin with us, we would love your fellowship!!

We are a fast growing group that love to help each other with tips and techniques. New to spinning, well this is the perfect group for you to join. Never have spun before, we would love to show you the basics of spinning to get you involved.

Spinning is a great way to relax at the end of the day, or you can just spin all day for a joyous day of fun!

We meet the first Saturday of each month, starting at 10:30am and lasting till about 2:30pm. Come on over and join us!

Finish it Together

UFO’s – we all have them. Gather up your unfinished objects, and let’s get them finished. Knit or crochet – let’s clear them out. That will leave room for luscious new yarn and fun new projects.

Round up your Unfinished Objects, Works In Progress, Projects in Time-Out, and any other projects not in your current work rotation.

Shawl Club

March is the month to start an exciting new shawl club at Get Stitchin’.  Terry Brezinsky hosts our shawl club. She will introduce both knit and crochet patterns to the club every other month. Makers can choose one craft or both. Patterns will be sourced from indie designers, yarn companies, and wherever patterns are found. Shawl basics will be covered, and any unique parts of a pattern will be explained. Yarn suggestions include the beautiful collections of locally dyed yarns at Get Stitchin’ and some well-known companies. We will meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month for fun new projects.

Sock Club at Get Stitchin’

Emily Mizer, ELY Knits, and Terry Brezinski, BaBa Knits, are hosting a sock club here at Get Stitchin’. They will explore different sock knitting methods, making a new pattern a month. If this intrigues you, join them as they knit using different designs and variations of socks.

Emily is hosting on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays
Terry is hosting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays

We have all the colors of Vintage Sock Yarn from Berroco, along with some fun stipping sock yarn. We will continue to get in more sock yarn to spice up this neat club.

Each month is a different sock; so click below to see what the new sock for the month is…

May Fun Stitches

We are going to have this fun calendar for anyone who wants to join us for the month of May challenge.

The rules are simple:

  • Knit or crochet every day in May. Mark your progress on this tracker.
  • It doesn’t have to be much–just a row, or even a stitch.
  • It doesn’t have to be the same project–you can bounce around.
  • You don’t have to finish anything.
  • Just nurture your habit. It’s a good one.
  • It’s the honor system. Be honorable.

Local Dyer May Fun

We are going to have some more May fun!!

Our local dyers are doing a promotion starting during this event, and the drawing will occur during Knit in Public Day, June 8th. So, throughout the month of May you can purchase as much yarn as you want, and for each skein purchased your name will go into a drawing. Each purchase from that local dyer will get your name into their basket. They will pull out a winner on June 8th at noon.

This Event is over, please check back in October, 2024
