Manos del Uruguay is a social organization nonprofit that since 1968 employs women artisans in rural areas of Uruguay. In hands are designed and woven garments, mainly wool yarn for the local market and for prestigious international brands of clothing.

Craftswomen are the owners of Manos del Uruguay and are part of a non-profit organization whose goal is to create jobs for rural women, allowing us to remain in our people, have an economic livelihood and develop as people. The system Manos del Uruguay is an organization of craft production cooperatives and service delivery Central, whose main objectives are:

  • Create and develop jobs for women in the country’s interior.
  • Providing growth opportunities in the economic, social and cultural everyone within it.
  • Valuing craft and work of artisans.
