We are approaching a time of year to give. As we shop and make gifts for our loved ones, I would like to encourage our friends to take a few minutes and make caps and booties for premature babies.

???????????????????????????????Margery, a sweet lady, led this campaign last year with her daughter-in-law, Darlene. Margery went back to her hometown this summer; however, she is on her way back to Tulsa to spend the winter with her family. Margery taught a few of us how to make booties and caps for premature babies. The caps and booties we made were donated to the Hillcrest NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) to help babies keep their bodies warm and heal quicker. I think it would be fun for us to knit several caps and booties for her to make a trip to donate when she comes back to town.

RoriRori Adams has already started on this project. She says that you can knit 4 sets (cap & booties) with one skein of Berroco, DK weight, which we have on sale at this time. She also has given us a cap and bootie pattern to share with you, so you can get started.

Get Stitchin’ is offering a 15% off Card if you donate 4 sets of premie caps & booties. This card can only be used one time, but there will be no expiration date for when you want to make that special purchase.

Just think; one skein of yarn, that is 25% off, plus your talents can make a huge difference in the lives of 4 premature babies.

Here is the link to Rori’s printable pattern she used to make preemie booties and caps.
